Test Result Mailing information
Test results will be sent by mail 13 days after your test date. Candidates cannot receive their results by phone or e-mail.
Previewing Results Online
To preview your results online, you will need the following information:
Date of Birth
You will need to type your name exactly as it appears on your passport or PR card, including all middle names.
If you do not have a last name, please use a dash "-".
Please do not include any symbols or spaces in your Passport/ID Number.
Your speaking test email, which was sent to you 8 days prior to your test, contains all of the information to view your results. Please enter the information exactly as it appears in that email.
The system will not display results for more than 28 days after your test date.
Request for Additional Results
If you would like a copy of your Test Report Form sent to an institution (University, non-immigration agency, professional body):
- Download and complete theAdditional Test Report Form (PDF)
- Make a payment through PayPal or by filling in the Credit Card Authorization Form included in the Additional Test Report Form.
- Email firstname.lastname@example.org:
- a scan of the completed Additional Test Report Form
- the PayPal Unique Transaction ID or Credit Card Authorisation form
Your IELTS test score is valid for 2 years. Additional Test Report Forms can only be requested from the centre at which you wrote the IELTS test. Examinees may not request an additional Test Report Form to be sent to them. Examinees receive only 1 copy after completing the test. Your additional Test Report Form request will be processed within one week of it being received. Additional TRF requests will not be accepted within 2 weeks prior of your results expiring.
Enquiry on Results (EoR)
Definition of Terms
Enquiry on Results: the process by which candidates ask for one or more test modules to be remarked by experienced Examiners and Senior Clerical Markers. This request is made after the test results have been released and is designed to ensure candidate performance has been accurately assessed.
Candidates are entitled to request a full re-mark (i.e. all modules) or a partial re-mark (i.e. one or more module) of their original results. Candidates must submit all their requests for re-mark to the IELTS Centre within six weeks of the test date by mail to:

Candidates requesting a re-mark must:
- Fill out an Enquiry on Results (EoR) Form (PDF)
- Submit the original Test Report Form (TRF)
- Pay a fee of $175.00 CDN
- Wait approximately four to six weeks to be notified of the results
Improvement in Score
Should a candidate be awarded a higher score than the original, a new Test Report Form (TRF) will be issued by the Test Centre with the new score(s). A full refund will also be issued to the candidate.
No Improvement in Score
Should there be no improvement in score, or should the original score decrease, the original Test Report Form will be returned to the candidate and there will be no refund of the re-mark fee.
